Collector Lots-Gold Type
Zee's Densities Collection. Tougher classic head gold coins offer type possibilities despite some PCGS disclaimers. First is an 1834 quarter eagle that shows upper rim anomalies suggesting a prior mount for jewelry use, and for sure, the surface glitters as if such was the case. Accompanying is an 1835 half eagle, both sides a little glossy and showing errant rim filing at the very bottom of the obverse. Two coin lot.

The surface does not seem that much more hairlined than straight-graded examples, but closer inspection reveals slightly glossy texture throughout that leads to the "cleaned" disclaimer. Smoothly and evenly worn to the extent that only trivial luster remains in the reverse periphery.

The main focal point of the bangle is an approximate .50 ct. round cut diamond, I1 clarity, I-J color and four approximate .03 ct. bezel set accent diamonds. Dimensions 2.75” x 2.5”, 10.4 dwt.
