Lurking in an area of low survival rates in mint-state, the 1860-S is not quite as scarce as preceding years and often comes semi-prooflike, although this specific select representation shows only minimal flash. Roll friction scatters into the fields and takes on slightly deeper orange hue while coppery tones persist in better protected areas.
