Large Cents-Draped Bust
Elm Then Almond Collection. Sheldon-189, a famously near-impossible key date to get straight-graded at any major grading service. Contrary to many low-grade pieces that have either a weak date or LIBERTY, this example features a nicely bold date, and LIBERTY has partial weakness only at the upper third of each letter. The coin was struck off of early dies, showing a small die chip between "E" of ONE and "T" of CENT -- a worthy diagnostic as to authenticity. An amazingly nice surface for the grade given the utter lack of environmental effects aside from normal circulation.

Bucky The Badger Consignment. 11 graded PR-66 BN, 3 higher at PCGS. An unexpectedly low population adds ample appeal to this already remarkable very-gem proof type cent. The obverse offers a startlingly lustrous appearance, replete with magenta, chartreuse-sienna and ruby-cobalt colors while the reverse features outrageous sea-green surrounding turquoise-carbuncle hues that must be seen to be believed.
