Silver Dollar-Trade Dollars
Judo chop! The Trade silver dollar was designed and distributed by the United States Mint in an attempt to compete with other countries ‘trade” silver coins that were being used in East Asia. As a result, these were very commonly “chop marked” as a practice of authentication. Four such examples come together to make this group lot that includes an 1874-S and 3x 1875-S issues. Each of these displays various chop marks with lightly cleaned fields and Almost Uncirculated details (ck).

Morals And Liberty Collection. Broad strikes, shifted dies, capped dies, off-center strikes, and struck on incorrect planchets are among the several types of United States mint errors found within this eighteen piece lot. Fourteen of these issues are raw examples that can not be accurately described by this cataloger. There are four remaining certified issues that includes 2x No Date PCGS MS-64 90% off-center struck Washington quarters, a 1980-P ANACS MS-64RB Jefferson nickel on 1C planchet, and a 1983-P ANACS MS-63 Broadstruck Partial Brockage. The only “mistake” to make would be to not view this group lot in person (ck).
