Bachelor Simon Collection. Hawaii gets representation by UNC silver types. First is 1883 half-dollar, brilliant with unusually mossy-grey toning splashed across the obverse while showing planchet anomalies on the reverse at 2:00 and 10:00. Accompanying is a quarter-dollar doused in original olive-grey toning and replete with undisturbed luster. Two coin lot.

Often found cut a little askew, this particularly bright example has been almost ideally centered and squared properly when viewed from either side, which means the back of the note is as appealing as the front. Signatures were stamped a little high but are as bold and deep black as can be. A "small tear" as called out by PMG only just barely requires mention because it technically touches a portion of the design (the border line) else it would escape notice. Not mentioned is a tiny dab of greenish residue positioned below the offending "tear" -- the cataloger speculates a staple may have been professionally removed from the edge at some point.

Next up is a three-strand pearl bracelet with two 14K white gold diamond spacers and a 14K white gold diamond encrusted clasp weighing approximately .60 cttw, SI clarity, H color. The pearls measure approximately 5.5mm and are a beautiful ivory-white color with good luster. Length 7.75”, 17.5 dwt.
