Silver Dollar-Trade Dollars
Bravery Consignment. 61 graded PR-65, 39 higher at PCGS. Regally toned overall, shimmering orange-grey and chartreuse predominate over the obverse while the reverse sees gorgeous Pacific-blue, violet-grey and rose hues. Technically, the surface displays good mechanical contrast between velvety devices and strong mirrors, but the toning prevents a suitable designation. Extremely well struck, almost to perfection except for very slight softness at Liberty's head and a brief arc of softness atop the eagle's higher wing.

First is 1893 with a flurry of tiny bag abrasions on the obverse, fewer on the reverse and very good luster over a tremendous strike. 1897 displays fewer abrasions overall than its companion but also shows a moderate abrasion right on the cheek. A simple solitaire style pendant affixed to a dainty cable link chain with a 6.15x4.65x3.50mm brilliant cut oval tourmaline, GIA report #5231280599. The gemstone is copper and manganese bearing which may be called “Paraiba” in the trade and has a beautiful electric greenish-blue color. Length 18”, 1.1 dwt.
