Large Cents-Liberty Head
Newcomb-6 (R.4), medium letters, die-state B/B as is evident by the fourth star drawn to the edge and a die crack encircling portions of the reverse. N-6 gets representation in the Red Book with a valuation that is many multiples of any of the common large letters varieties. The surface offers exceptional chocolate-brown patina with merely a whisper of greenish overtone and suffers scarcely any detracting abrasions. A few trivial darker splashes occasion the lower obverse.

Land And Home Collection. Hodder 2-D, Breen-190, R.6+. The "Godless" LON DON variety is much scarcer than the more often encountered GOD PRESERVE LONDON varieties. The surface of this wallet-brown example has a somewhat dry appearance but has no curious discolorations. Several tiny, curious pockmarks dot the elephant side, while the reverse shows no unexpected contact.
