Flat Creek, Missouri Collection. Two or so small tears at upper right barely enter into the linear border, resulting in special mention by PMG. 5 graded PR-67+ CAM, 6 higher at NGC. Unlike many overdipped examples, the surface exhibits traces of bone-grey patina that only emphasizes tremendous cameo effect. The grade might reach for "finest known" candidacy if not for a slender linear abrasion beneath the chin -- the only evidence of contact that can readily be found with a loupe.
