  • Collection of Walking Liberty half dollars in a complete Dansco 7160 album
  • Half Dollars-Walking Liberty
  • The Walking Liberty half-dollar series is among the most popularly collected and difficult to complete collections within United States numismatics. This only becomes ever more difficult when attempting to fill it out with collector grade issues. Time and effort were clearly put into the building of this particular Dansco album collection that is complete from 1916 through 1947. Included in this set are the following examples: a 1916 (AU++), a 1916-D (XF+), a 1916-S (XF), a 1917 (AU+), a 1917-D Obverse (XF+), a 1917-D Reverse (XF, cleaned), a 1917-S Reverse (AU, cleaned), a 1918 (XF+), a 1918-D (XF++), a 1918-S (AU, light clean), a 1919 (VF), a 1919-D (XF, light clean), a 1919-S (XF++), a 1920 (XF), a 1920-D (AU+), a 1920-S (AU), a 1921 (AG), a 1921-D (F), a 1921-S (VG), a 1923-S (XF), a 1927-S (XF, light clean), a 1928-S (XF+), a 1929-D (XF+), a 1929-S (AU+), a 1933-S (AU), a 1934 (AU), a 1934-D (AU++), a 1935 (BU), a 1936-D (BU), a 1937 (AU++), and a 1938-D (XF, cleaned). Most of the remaining issues from 1939 through 1947 are either Almost Uncirculated or Choice Uncirculated and are certainly par for the course (ck).

  • KM#377.12, San Luis Potosi mint, erroneous "iP" mintmark. Considered "rare" according to some sources, scarcity stems from erroneous use of "iP" as the mintmark instead of Pi. This specific issue is virtually unobtainable in mint-state and the present VF-30 represents a rather high grade. Further, this appears to be a lovely, original example that suffers no distractions.
