Included are: BG-727 (astonishingly high grade and blatantly prooflike), BG-728 (drenched in curiously lackluster greenish hue and unusually well struck), and BG-872 (rather outstanding citrus-gold on the obverse and lemon-yellow on the reverse with semi-prooflike reflectivity). OBV: Pegasus flying left, "?" below. REV: Athena faces left wearing a Corinthian helmet, lily behind with stem pointed to neck. This is a sensational example of a better subtype of this very popular stater. Both sides are exquisitely centered, something hardly ever seen, and the surfaces exhibit marvelous dove-grey with honey lowlights. A fabulous Ancient for the collector.
