Gold Dollars-Indian Princess Head, Large Head
Mintage: 7500. 2 graded MS-67+. 3 higher at NGC. Low mintages don't typically grant large quantities of high-grade survivors, but the low mintage run of gold dollars seem to have been saved in unusually high quantities. Here is a borderline outrageous coin that could challenge the appeal of many well-preserved proof examples as both sides display exquisite sharpness and obvious cameo contrast. Apparently a bit of a later striking, orange peel effect has begun to develop within the hair, while continued thorough examination finds two microscopic abrasions right of "1" in the denomination.

This run spans from 1950 through 1963 and includes and additional 1960 set that has a small date variety. Most every nickel offers a pleasing steely grey appeal and all but two cents are fiery red examples.
