Lot #873 - 1803 100/000 PCGS VF-25
Large Cents-Draped Bust
Sheldon-249, 100/000 fraction, and apparently die state II with the "mumps" die defect attached to Liberty's jaw. From a commercial standpoint, sharpness may be slightly better than VF-25, this offset by a rather generous helping of small circulation marks strewn across the obverse. Decent eye appeal unfolds on both sides due to much nicer powder-chocolate patina that shows remarkably few distractions other than those abrasions.

Clem Stevens Collection. Undoubtedly well struck upon production, both sides still retain very fine delineation despite five points of circulation. While a coin of this size is not going to evade every possible abrasion, close inspection finds very little distraction worth mentioning.
