Large Cents-Classic Head
Sheldon-281, no clash marks and thus suggestive of an earlier strike. This Sheldon variety always seems to come a little softly struck yet the headband shows plainly and most definition within the strands of hair are nicely rendered. PCGS states "cleaned" but a more thorough inspection suggests that corrosion has been relieved from the surface, the whole coin later recolored nicely and nearly to the state of an original piece.

Struck to above-average sharpness for New Orleans, either side absolutely shimmers with white vibrancy. Except for a very narrow hairline abrasion beneath the ear, the surface appears nearly immune from contact.
