  • Lot #517 - 1890-CC PCGS AU-50
  • Hammer: $3,600
  • Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
  • Mild friction in the fields indicates light wear overall, while protected areas retain ample energy. Even at arm's length, both sides revolve nicely with cartwheel effect, especially the reverse. While 1890-CC frequently comes heavily abraded, this appears to be a nicer, less noisy example that does nothing but please the eye at the AU-50 grade.

  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
