Silver Dollar-Morgan
Benjamin J. Collection. VAM-3, popular for both a doubled-die obverse and reverse. Nothing impairs the vivid luster of this obviously-choice example, although frosted areas receive some bag abrasions on the cheek and potentially slidemarks on the neck. A rather amazingly well-preserved reverse actually looks MS-66(!), elevating overall appeal of this well-liked semi-key date.

Included are: 1939 (tremendous strike, clean right field and jaw-dropping luster), 1939-D (not quite as well struck as the preceding and filled with delightful frost-white texture), and 1939-S (decently struck in spite of a noticeable bisecting die crack on the reverse). The clasp is incorporated into one of the jumbo links so the piece appears to be continuous. Length 9”, 41.2 dwt.
