  •
  • Lot #414 - 1879-S NGC MS-64
  • Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
  • 7 graded MS-64, which ties for highest graded at NGC. PCGS suggests five coins grade higher in their population report. Technically, 1879-S is not a scarce date but obviously, the set collector will be hard-pressed to locate a stronger candidate for a registry. Overall light hairlining limits the grade.

  • Lot #725 - 1882 PCGS PR-64
  • Hammer: $1,300
  • Half Dollars-Liberty Seated
  • Dino-Mite Collection. Unbelievably sharp and struck to an extreme level of accuracy. As for many of the other proof silver coins from this set, the surface flourishes gorgeous, slow-burn flame-orange and periwinkle-blue patina.
