Included in this run is a 1938, a 1940, and 1941 proof set that all offer above average grades and eye appeal. Each of these sets is still wrapped up in mint tissue and are still in their unbroken cellophane holders. Pacific Coast Highway Collection. KM#373. Commemorating the 400th birthday of Phillip the Magnanimous, this is a spectacular gem that readily earns the Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award. Extremely attractive Crayola colors mostly surround the obverse with deep purple, ocean-blue, violet-gold and chartreuse rainbows. The reverse is, if anything, even more spectacular as the crystal-bright surface is entirely surrounded by stunning, vivid cobalt-chartreuse, cinnamon-gold and crimson-amber toning. Distinctive of the type, the obverse shows subdued matte texture against a mirrored finish on the reverse.
