Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
7 graded MS-64, which ties for highest graded at NGC. PCGS suggests five coins grade higher in their population report. Technically, 1879-S is not a scarce date but obviously, the set collector will be hard-pressed to locate a stronger candidate for a registry. Overall light hairlining limits the grade.

Choice-plus examples comprise this pairing. First is 1893 with a flurry of tiny bag abrasions on the obverse, fewer on the reverse and very good luster over a tremendous strike. 1897 displays fewer abrasions overall than its companion but also shows a moderate abrasion right on the cheek. Two coin lot.

Lot #307 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom

Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
