Included in this run is a 1938, a 1940, and 1941 proof set that all offer above average grades and eye appeal. Each of these sets is still wrapped up in mint tissue and are still in their unbroken cellophane holders. While common even at MS-67, a crisply struck and dazzling quarter-eagle will always be a treat for the eyes when competently graded, as is the case here. Sparkling luster dance around the results of a high-definition strike to great advantage. Varieties have not been well studied for the series but the cataloger notes some "stuff" within zero of the date that could be of interest.

Exquisite Tahitian pearl drop earrings with two cultured black pearls measuring approximately 8mm and two measuring approximately 10mm with small bezel set diamond accents. The earrings are made by Mikimoto and include the hallmark of an M inside the outline of an oyster at the bottom of the last pearl. The top pearl can be positioned anywhere on the chain that dangles down from diamond post and is part of the Pearls in Motion collection. Length 1.75”, 5.0 dwt.
