Collector Lots-Mint Sets
Early United States mint sets are among the most difficult items to find in their original condition and packaging. There are five such issues here that includes a 1949, a 1951, a 1952, a 1954, and a 1957. Each of these are still in their original cardboard sleeves and envelopes as well. Wispy and dusty tones cling to all of the surfaces of each issue within each set lending even further evidence to these particular set’s originality. Half Dollars-Draped Bust
Mastodon Collection. Overton-119a, R.3. The die state appears to fall just shy of the latest seen, with wavy clashmarks that connect the tops of the digits in the date, not to mention evidence of at least two very strong clash patterns on the obverse. There is no die crack on the reverse through "U" of UNUM. Although both sides are flatly struck, that is characteristic of the die-marriage yet both sides boast strong luster. A couple of small digs at the end of UNITED are notable.
