Lot #875 - 1810/09 PCGS XF details/cleaned
Large Cents-Classic Head
Sheldon-281, no clash marks and thus suggestive of an earlier strike. This Sheldon variety always seems to come a little softly struck yet the headband shows plainly and most definition within the strands of hair are nicely rendered. PCGS states "cleaned" but a more thorough inspection suggests that corrosion has been relieved from the surface, the whole coin later recolored nicely and nearly to the state of an original piece.

While overall satiny in appearance, highpoint details appear to collect slightly glossy texture, perhaps from roll friction. Superbly struck as usual and showing one medium abrasion on the obverse lower right field.
