Aliyah Darnell Collection. Formerly considered rare, 1909-S can now be readily found even in MS-64 due to a Central American hoard dispersed a few decades ago. This is a sensational example of a better subtype of this very popular stater. Both sides are exquisitely centered, something hardly ever seen, and the surfaces exhibit marvelous dove-grey with honey lowlights. A fabulous Ancient for the collector.
