  • Lot #880 - 1819 Small Date UNC
  • Hammer: $925
  • Large Cents-Liberty Head
  • Newcomb-8 "small date", early die-state as can be inferred by exceptionally strong, bold dentils along both borders. Cataloger's grade: [UNC/recolored], and that disclaimer only because the coloration doesn't really match what one expects of a Randall hoard example (which this almost certainly is). Nevertheless, those early dies imparted absolutely needle-sharp details throughout as well as noticeable cartwheel luster, overlaid with violet-mahogany iridescence.

  • Lot #441 - 1900 PCGS MS-64+
  • Hammer: $900
  • Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
  • A couple of more noticeable copper spots can be found on the obverse while the reverse camouflages a few more smaller ones. Booming luster emanates from the obverse while the reverse appears slightly dulled by comparison.
