  • Lot #888 - 1830 Medium Letters PCGS VF-25
  • Large Cents-Liberty Head
  • Newcomb-6 (R.4), medium letters, die-state B/B as is evident by the fourth star drawn to the edge and a die crack encircling portions of the reverse. N-6 gets representation in the Red Book with a valuation that is many multiples of any of the common large letters varieties. The surface offers exceptional chocolate-brown patina with merely a whisper of greenish overtone and suffers scarcely any detracting abrasions. A few trivial darker splashes occasion the lower obverse.
