The 1970 No S Roosevelt dime is amongst the scarcest United States modern mint issues to ever be accidentally issued. Fewer than 500 total examples are believed to be in existence making this is highly sought after issue. This particular example is still in its original five-piece proof set lens and box. Highly reflective surfaces team together with gun-metal grey subjects making this a potential candidate for one of the major grading services (ck).

23 graded MS-64, 8 higher at PCGS. A very low mintage of 900 pieces explains why so many 1883s are prooflike, although the present example displays mostly typical luster with hints of flashy texture throughout the fields. Strangely, about half of examples seen tend to be mint-state, although few approach gem status. A sharp strike points to minimally used dies, such that even the lower curls of the hair are rather distinctly separated. Stray marks favor the right field just slightly even while overall, this coin managed to evade most of the bagmarks that often plague other issues within the series.
