Swap Deterred Collection. Pearly white surfaces and the lightest traces of wear are present within this five-piece group lot of Standing Liberty quarters. This lot is a bit of a mixed bag regarding grading services as three different companies are present. Three examples are PCGS certified and includes a 1928 AU-55, a 1928-S AU-55, and a 1929-D AU-58. The two remaining issues are a 1929 ANACS AU-53, and a 1929-S CACG AU Details Cleaned. Awesome opportunity to fill some holes in a high-end album set (ck)?

O-101, prime dies. There is no evidence of clashed dies for this famous key to the series. Scarcity for the date can be explained by the one-day delivery of the entire mintage -- 47-thousand -- on January 10,1816 which was the day immediately preceding a major fire at the Mint. The mint was not operational again for practically the rest of the year. One might not state that the surfaces for this sharp example are entirely original as some glossy tan texture shows, interspersed with purple and neon-violet peripheral accents, but the coin suffers no damage nor distracting issues. Individual feathers within the eagle's right (observed) wing are nicely outlined while a few feathers in the left wing merge just slightly.
