Lot #605 - 1882 Trade NGC PR-66 ULTRA CAMEO
Silver Dollar-Trade Dollars
11 graded PR-66 UCAM, 1 graded PR-66 UCAM "star", 7 higher at NGC. Type II / II. Reasonably available for high-end proof type purposes, the original emission near eleven-hundred pieces yielded enough ultra-cameo examples to satisfy a limited amount of demand today. Astoundingly bright, immaculate white mirrors are incredibly free from hairlines and blemishes, save an as-struck little strikethrough in front of the shin. Perhaps a dozen tiny greyish dots sprinkle outward into the same area. Phenomenally sharp throughout except for a couple of upper obverse stars that just miss perfection.

This is a fantastic foursome of Mexican 8 Reales silver coins that each offer Extra Fine to Almost Uncirculated surfaces with three examples displaying various degrees of chop-marks. The three chop-marked examples includes a 1737 (XF+ details), a 1741 (AU details), and a 1758 (XF details). A lone un-chopped issue is a lovely 1740 that is a nice and attractive AU example (ck).

Both watches are 23 Jewel and 16 size. A. Hamilton Railway Special 950B movement. Inside the movement has S22820 stamped on a lower part. Engraved on the outside back is “M.L. Jameson”. Average condition case and crystal. Winds, sets and runs. B. Ball Official RR Standard Cleveland on face. Movement # B800462. Watch has some trouble setting and winding.
