  • Lot #462 - 1897-O PCGS MS-61
  • Gold $10-Liberty Head Eagle
  • Mintage: 42,500. Heavier abrasions thump the reverse while overall, both sides show a number of the bagmarks expected of the date. 1897-O is not actually rare despite the lower mintage, but certified mint-state examples prove difficult to find at PCGS. A glittering example with occasional greyish crumbles that suggest a non-cleaned surface.

  • Lot #565 - 1926 PCGS MS-64 CAC
  • Hammer: $2,500
  • Gold $20-Saint-Gaudens Double Eagle
  • “Blast gold” with admirable frost, this Saint appears particularly bright and captivating to the eye; its probably why CAC was keen to give it the sticker of approval. Mostly pristine exteriors, through contact ample on sun and bottom quarter of reverse.
