Included in this run is a 1938, a 1940, and 1941 proof set that all offer above average grades and eye appeal. Each of these sets is still wrapped up in mint tissue and are still in their unbroken cellophane holders. Morals And Liberty Collection. Kagin-3 (R.6). Formed in New York City, the firm of Norris, Gregg & Norris moved west to San Francisco following the discovery of gold at Sutter's Mill. They struck a five-dollar coin in Benicia City, a suburb of San Francisco, and these very rare coins are avidly sought by collectors today. NGC grades this reddish-gold five as MS-61, likely reflecting in part a rather weak strike as well as delicately hairlined fields.
