As always for the date, blunt details govern the appearance for this familiar Dahlonega emission. Decent luster persists and better yet, the surface seems unusually free from the larger abrasions that typically affect gold from this southern mint.

Dimes-Liberty Seated
17 graded MS-67, 5 higher at PCGS. 1887 is one of several hoard dates within the Seated Liberty dime series that sees hundreds of UNC examples still in existence. That said, very few could possibly meet the almost-devastating level of quality witnessed here as a ridiculous amount of silver-bright mint luster compresses into the small fields on either side. The reverse maybe even grades a point higher but alas, several tiny intrusions into the obverse right field preclude perfection.
