101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. The eagle's plumage appears typically struck with a lack of good definition while some delineation still shows nicely within Liberty's curls. Trivial luster at best remains, reduced by modest, even wear. Requiring mention, some tiny digs land on the obverse and a few linear abrasions scatter around the eagle's portrait.
