Lot #827 - 1839 No Drapery NGC MS-66
Dimes-Liberty Seated
Bravery Consignment. 16 graded MS-66, 21 higher at NGC. An astounding very-gem type coin, this no-drapery example displays incredibly bright white surfaces with abundant mint frost and blatant eye-appeal. The dies were both slightly cracked before striking the coin, yet they produced extremely sharp details throughout. Small splashes of coppery toning are evident, as is die rotation of about ten degrees or so.

Tremendous quality immediately makes gem impact on the senses as the coin flaunts nearly outrageous luster and astonishingly clean surfaces for a grade anywhere below MS-66. The cataloger notes a peculiar splash of brown residue on the reverse far right. All four digits in the date are nicely doubled south.
