101st Airborne Collection. A group of Standing Liberty quarters was recently extracted from the consignor's Dansco collection, as all the other pieces are circulated. Included are: 1917-D type-2 (MS-62 and extremely original toning that looks much like mint-set patina), 1919 (UNC/FH but showing hazy surfaces), 1925 (Ch BU), 1926-D (UNC but not well struck and showing album color), and 1928 (Ch BU/FH and with attractive turquoise iridescence clinging to the devices. While common even at MS-67, a crisply struck and dazzling quarter-eagle will always be a treat for the eyes when competently graded, as is the case here. Sparkling luster dance around the results of a high-definition strike to great advantage. Varieties have not been well studied for the series but the cataloger notes some "stuff" within zero of the date that could be of interest.

There are .60 cttw in baguette cut side diamond, .60 cttw in bullet cut side diamonds and .06 cttw in bezel set round brilliant cut diamonds, VS-SI1 clarity, H-I color. The ring has a lovely profile design and vintage feel overall. Approximate Ring Size 4 (with sizing beads), 4.7 dwt.
