  •
  • Lot #414 - 1879-S NGC MS-64
  • Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
  • 7 graded MS-64, which ties for highest graded at NGC. PCGS suggests five coins grade higher in their population report. Technically, 1879-S is not a scarce date but obviously, the set collector will be hard-pressed to locate a stronger candidate for a registry. Overall light hairlining limits the grade.

  • Lot #722 - 1853 Arrows And Rays NGC AU-58

  • Half Dollars-Liberty Seated
  • Possibly a flashy example when it fell off the dies, the surface now shows a fair amount of toning overall that might be suppressing vibrancy just a bit. Trivial circulation places isolated areas of friction on the arm, shoulder, head and knees of Liberty's portrait.
