Lot #229 - Error - 2015 Lincoln cent struck on a struck Roosevelt dime

Sandra Wilson Algiers Estate. Sandra Wilson Algiers Collection. The cent was struck at a rotation of about 120 degrees, allowing the date to appear twice, although the later cent striking partially erased the final "5" from the dime's prior strike. The reverse is a veritable melange of contorted, intermingled details with both sides showing evidence of the copper core out beyond the rims. So well struck that the diameter very nearly reached that of an actual cent's flan.

Morals And Liberty Collection. Kagin-2 (R.4) "long arrows" reverse. Cataloger's grade: [AU/cleaned/light scratch]. Evidence of cleaning will deter some collectors, but filling the void of demand will be enthusiasts for which the famous this private coinage is a long-time favorite, especially when found so well detailed and still in possession of noticeable mint luster. K-1 with the "short arrows" reverse has also been acclaimed the same R.4 rarity rating, but the cataloger feels that the present variety is actually a little scarcer. A hairline scratch extends of the end of Liberty's nose to modest detriment.

Sterling silver (tested, not marked) cuff bracelet in an overly bold design. With stampings to both sides of the piece, the cuff features a center applied leaf surrounded by four cabs of turquoise that appear to be from three different mines. An unsigned piece, so tribal affiliation is unknown. The original price tag remains to the underside of the piece. 5.86 troy ounces.
