  • Lot #399 - 1842-D Small Date NGC AU details/cleaned
  • Gold $5-Liberty Head Half Eagle
  • More available than the "large date" logotype but still hardly common given the mintage of under 60-thousand pieces. The pale, lackluster surface displays a thin coating of haze that helps subdue any potential remaining luster. Strike quality seems to be about as nice as is ever seen for 1842-D.

  • Lot #683 - 1895-S PCGS XF-45

  • Silver Dollar-Morgan
  • One of the most elusive dates in the Morgan series, the 1895-S becomes virtually unobtainable in true gem state. Presented here is a modestly circulated specimen, with even wear clearing many of the heavy bag marks characteristic of uncirculated coins. One considerable cut remains right of arrows.

  • Lot #307 - Native American Unsigned Squash Blossom
  • Hammer: $425
  • Jewelry-Silver
  • Circa 1960/1970, this sterling silver (tested, not marked) and turquoise squash blossom necklace features 10 blossoms set between seamed beads and an 8-stone Naja at the bottom. The design of the piece is mostly original with a slight twist on modernism. The turquoise used in the making appears to be from the Cripple Creek mine. Condition is very nice for its age with a vintage patina to the metal. Unsigned piece so tribal affiliation is unknown. Length 28”, 5.78 troy ounces.
