Large Cents-Classic Head
Sheldon-281, no clash marks and thus suggestive of an earlier strike. This Sheldon variety always seems to come a little softly struck yet the headband shows plainly and most definition within the strands of hair are nicely rendered. PCGS states "cleaned" but a more thorough inspection suggests that corrosion has been relieved from the surface, the whole coin later recolored nicely and nearly to the state of an original piece.

Lemonade Stand Collection. L&M-79, KM#329.6, 1921 reverse of 1914 for both. Cataloger's grade [UNC/corroded] for the brighter example refers to removed arcs of corrosion across the upper left portrait. Cataloger's grade [MS-62] applies to the second, which displays outstanding luster and only flimsy patina. Two coin lot.
