Included are: BG-727 (astonishingly high grade and blatantly prooflike), BG-728 (drenched in curiously lackluster greenish hue and unusually well struck), and BG-872 (rather outstanding citrus-gold on the obverse and lemon-yellow on the reverse with semi-prooflike reflectivity). Sparkling white and pure in appearance. The cheek appears amazingly clean for the grade, and indeed, the entire obverse begs for a gem grade assessment, but turning to the reverse discovers several hairline abrasions on the eagle's portrait.

The gemstone is copper and manganese bearing which may be called “Paraiba” in the trade and has a beautiful electric greenish-blue color. Length 18”, 1.1 dwt.
