Bass-Dannreuther-1, R.3. Undoubtedly dedicated to a necklace early in life, this 1809/8 capped bust half-eagle suffered the indignity of a hole piercing the field at 12:00. A fairly competent effort was made to fill it in, with better results shown on the reverse.

While a two bank town, charter 7555 shut down during the Great Depression and left behind only five known large examples to satisfy collector demand today. Rich creme-grey toning endows this ten with vintage character, with a pinhole resting square in the center of the note. Minor incursions on the right edge are well accounted for by the grade.
