Included are: 1879-O (very good strike over exquisite, white fine-textured matte frost surfaces), 1897-S (astounding windmill energy on pure-white mint frost), and 1904 (another very good strike but the cheek disturbed by a number of tiny bagmarks). HK-449, silver, Manila mint, and sometimes referenced by PCGS as "medal". It is collected as a member of both the U.S. Philippines and the "so-called dollar" series. Struck also in gold and copper, the present silver example is that most often seen. While landing within the choice grade range, one can see this as a superior specimen since the fields appear unusually free from distraction and excellent luster reaches across both sides.
