Bucky The Badger Consignment. Unusual, deep bronze-blue toning with surrounding orange highlights make it appear almost as if this branch mint nickel had been struck on a copper planchet. A very good strike for the date created superior luster and bountiful sharpness to be appreciated in addition to that oddly appealing coloration.

Expectations may also explain the apparent extra care taken to produce these proofs as this is a typically razor-sharp example with no sign of weakness whatsoever. Phenomenal, velvety violet-green deeply saturates the obverse and layers over the outer areas of the reverse where it surrounds salmon-gold hues.
