Large Cents-Draped Bust
Elm Then Almond Collection. Sheldon-189, a famously near-impossible key date to get straight-graded at any major grading service. Contrary to many low-grade pieces that have either a weak date or LIBERTY, this example features a nicely bold date, and LIBERTY has partial weakness only at the upper third of each letter. The coin was struck off of early dies, showing a small die chip between "E" of ONE and "T" of CENT -- a worthy diagnostic as to authenticity. An amazingly nice surface for the grade given the utter lack of environmental effects aside from normal circulation.

Both sides are absolutely free from major or medium abrasions, showing instead a very few light linear circulation marks. Unusually nice for a circulated three-legged nickel.
