  • Newcomb-1. Cataloger's grade: [XF/trace corrosion] as can be seen by a little bit of buildup within the final four stars. It's quite possible the surface can be conserved to reveal a very nice example as the surface overall exhibits pleasing cocoa-brown and faint, waxy steel highlights. The reverse appears basically unsusceptible to abrasions while fewer than a handful of tiny marks land on the obverse.

  • Lot #894 - 1936 Gettysburg NGC MS-67
  • Hammer: $1,050
  • Silver Commemoratives-Silver Commemoratives Half-Dollars
  • While most seem to have been dipped over the decades, this particular Gettysburg offers unusually original surfaces that still retain slightly smoky patina layered across both sides. As a result, the underlying potent luster strives to shimmer through the greyness, and accomplishes that with aplomb.
