Silver Dollar-Morgan
VAM-22, a lesser VAM for 1878-CC characterized by die chips within each "C" of the mintmark. With well over 2-million struck, 1878-CC is not rare in almost any grade, but the prooflike designation adds a lot of appeal to a well struck, vintage example like this. Hints of lovely russet-gold surround both sides, accenting fair cameo frost floating within nice, semi-watery mirrors.

Gold $2.50-Liberty Head Quarter Eagle
Although not rare overall as a date, the 1856, like any earlier half-eagle, jumps into the arena of scarcity above lower mint-state grades, and this is an interesting piece for reasons other than just grade. Taken off of strongly clashed dies, the obverse die was nicely lapped while the reverse die still retains a full silhouette of Liberty as well as a forming retained cud above TAT on the reverse. The surface shows a surprising amount of overall abrading for MS-64 but also offers attractive vintage color and velvety luster.
