Included are: 1854 (delicate hairlines subtly traverse the lower portrait, erasing a few contact marks), and 1874 (glittering brightly as is typical of previously edge-mounted examples). KM#294, Dav-2100, Brunswick-Luneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, Georg II "mining taler", Zellerfeld mint. Struck to honor The Goodness Of The Lord Mine, as is depicted on the obverse with a mine entrance within a heavily forested landscape. While both sides exhibit marvelous detail characteristic of relatively obscure "mining talers", someone has curiously tooled the entirety of the fields, converting what should be semi-prooflike reflectivity into texture.
