Gold Dollars-Indian Princess Head, Large Head
Cheddars de Voirs Collection. First is 1873 "open 3" showing satin-laden surface texture, but luster perhaps a trifle weakened by faint hairlines. Accompanying is 1873 "closed 3" blanketed by noticeably glowing golden hue over surfaces that exhibit occasional flashes of reflectivity. Two coin lot.

Gold $5-Indian Head Half Eagle
17 graded MS-64+, 14 (all MS-65) higher at PCGS. The final entry into the Indian half-eagle also turns out to be one of the most difficult to obtain at the gem grade level. In some respects, 1929 could be considered the "easiest key" or the "most difficult semi-key" depending on how one delineates rarity. Probably only six other dates prove more elusive to collectors at this level.

Strong luster checks off the first item on the list of accolades, followed immediately by what appears to be unexpectedly and pleasantly original color, including medium golden iridescence joined by much grapefruit-orange accenting. A very good but not quite excellent strike is mostly responsible for all that nice energy, but the grade gets held back slightly by two tiny nicks on the brow and another smaller nick on the lip.

A gorgeous pendant made by Judith Ripka in 18K yellow gold featuring a dazzling 14x10mm oval lemon quartz with a halo of round brilliant diamonds weighing an estimated .50 cttw, SI clarity, I color including small heart detailing as well. The bale is also diamond encrusted and has a clasping bale so it can be worn on different size chains or as a slide on an omega chain. Dimensions 1.1” x .50”, 5.1 dwt.
