Far and away the scarcest Indian quarter-eagle, the 1911-D gets additional respect when a grading service provides the "strong D" moniker. The mintmark seen here cannot be mistaken at all, being readily visible without the aid of a loupe. Terrific for MS-62, this well struck coin practically glitters with faintly yellowed golden hue. A topnotch example at just about the most approachable quality grade for the date.

The first three coins (1950,51,52) are in older generation NGC holders with all of the remaining issues residing inside of “fatty” style holders.
