Gold $20-Liberty Head Double Eagle
Cheddars de Voirs Collection. Mintage: 22,410. Surprisingly strong luster remains prevalent on both sides, cheerfully illuminating bright dandelion-yellow and golden orange hues. The reverse plainly has claims to at least AU-50 all by itself. Typical abrasions scatter widely across either side, joined by a few bolder marks left of Liberty's mouth and flung right of the hair knot. Housed in a much older no-line holder, one can have confidence that this appealing, vibrant coin has remained unaltered for at least a few decades.

Only lightly worn with a reverse that practically glows with luster which exceeds AU-53 expectations. Faint greyish patina overall may tend to subdue the appearance just a bit but it's plain that this is an attractive, early date double-eagle.

A gorgeous Art Deco North South ring with an approximate .45 ct. round center diamond, I1 clarity, J color with another estimated 1.00 cttw in round diamonds set with milgrain detailing and hints of open space. Ring size 6, 4.7 dwt.
