Seven Capped Bust half dollars net graded by ANACS
Half Dollars-Capped Bust, Lettered Edge
Varying degrees of cleaning from light to almost nonexistent plagues this seven coin group lot of ANACS certified Capped Bust half-dollars. Each of these issues are housed in the older style “soap box” holder and can be described as follows: an 1832 O-101 UNC Details Cleaned, an 1832 O-118 AU Details Cleaned, an 1833 O-102 AU Details Cleaned, an 1833 O-102 UNC Details Cleaned, an 1834 O-107 AU Details Cleaned, an 1835 O-101 AU Details Cleaned, and an 1836 O-119 AU Details Cleaned. All seven of these have begun to re-tone after the cleaning had taken place, giving them a better than average look for their assigned grades (ck).

Lot #785 - 1907 PCGS PR-67 CAC, Ex-Pittman

Ex-Pittman (not listed on slab insert). 15 graded PR-67, 4 higher at PCGS Sadly, this coin has somehow lost its famous pedigree along its journey into the PCGS slab, as somebody foolishly (perhaps) removed it from the original NGC holder (SN: 638831-001) where it had the same grade (and also a green CAC sticker). Oh the lengths some will travel to eke a few extra dollars out of a plastic holder... but we digress. The Pittman dime is nothing short of incredible as it displays lovely, tasteful obverse peripheral toning and enormously satisfying indigo-violet hue across the entire reverse. As befits the grade, the surface shows simply zero distractions, except perhaps a singular carbon speckle at the front of Liberty's neck, which is helpful in identifying it for future generations. A Scotsman Cataloger's Choice Award for obvious reasons, and we can only hope that the future owner will take the steps necessary to restore the esteemed pedigree to whatever slab the coin ends up in.

A. Hunter case Illinois Watch Co. 18 size. Inside back lid is stamped “Two Plates of 14 karat gold over fine hard metal”. The 15 jewel movement is marked 1414759 and is also marked Illinois Watch Co. This lever set watch has a clean face and crystal, but the outside does show wear. This watch does come with a surprise, inside the back lid is a child’s drawing of an airplane! Winds, sets and runs. 84.2 dwt. B. Open face Hamilton Railway Special. The 21 jewel movement is marked Hamilton 992B plus inside of the movement is C462004. The lever set watch is triple signed and 16 size. Movement is in beautiful shape, but the case and crystal are average. Winds, sets and runs. C. Gold-filled Elgin National Watch Co. 7 jewel movement 4296945. Inside the back lid is a note that shows who owned the watch and when. This lever set watch is in great shape. Winds, sets and runs. D. Gold-filled Hamilton 17 jewel pocket watch with what looks to be its original box and paperwork. Triple signed. Movement has the number 836709. Stem set. The back of the watch has the Initials “JR”. This watch is in very good shape but is missing the second hand.
