French coins that circulated in pre-colonial America pair up for this offering. First is 1721-H 9-deniers showing tin-grey upper relief design elements atop somewhat granular and darker fields. Accompanying is 1793-A sou marque, a fairly high-quality example with salty tin-grey fields supporting bold and rather nicely detailed ebony design elements. Two coin lot.
